I’m am so excited today! Why?
I’ve had this book in my hot little hands for a few months so please read on!
Today is my Dare: The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks
Review. This breakthrough book, by Barry McDonagh, has just launched and I am here to tell you that I am amazed!
Why does anxiety overwhelm us, causing panic attacks and various other disorders? Barry explains his own plight with anxiety and panic attacks and how he beat the panic loop. Anyone experiencing panic attacks knows the panic loop all too well. The panic loop consists of:
- Bodily Sensations
- Panic Attack
- High Anxiety
- Fear of Fear
By consistently fighting the panic loop, we lose self-confidence eventually giving in and embracing the loop. This leads to a very limited lifestyle with no hope in sight.
Life throws us curves all the time. Can we live a life free of stress and anxiety? Probably not. This book is not about living anxiety free it’s about living free of your anxiety. What exactly does that mean? It’s about having a new detached relationship with anxiety.
In Dare: The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks
you are introduced to The DARE Response. DARE stands for:
- Run Toward
Whenever I’ve experienced panic attacks, I try to diffuse, I certainly don’t want to allow it to continue, I run away as fast as I can and, I try to break away from the overwhelming feeling of fear. Some people might say that Barry has lost his mind but, he hasn’t. The DARE Response is explained in full detail and it really makes sense. We have the ability to change our mindset and make peace with our anxiety. What a concept!
Barry walks you through the DARE Response and doesn’t stop there. He is very honest in respect to healing. You can tell just by looking at the list of chapters. Here’s a few good ones:
- Giving Up Fearing This Will Last Forever – Break the panic loop with a whole new mindset.
- Give Up Your Safe Zone – Learn valuable methods to break through your safe zone. It’s time to expand your world.
- Setbacks and How to Deal With Them – We get so frustrated with setbacks and often give up. There WILL be setbacks, learn how to accept them and move on.
- Give Up Your Crutches – Yikes! That’s a tough one, I would always have medication with me, just in case. Now the medication stays at home. I did it and so can you.
There is no fluff in this book and it does not claim to work miracles. You have to be willing to work at it. You are your own worst enemy, so why not become friends with yourself instead?
In addition why don’t you make some new friends too? This book comes with a private Facebook group. I’m meeting some awesome people who are trying to overcome anxiety too. Reading their stories really gives me hope that we can all overcome anxiety together!
Thanks for reading my Dare: The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks
Review. I hope that I’ve given you some inspiration to try out this book and learn how to feel free again.
If only I had this book 30 years ago, it would’ve saved me a lot of time!! Kudos Barry, for a job well done!
